Hi all, we wanted to share a quick update with some photos from our trip to the Galapagos! It was really amazing to see such a diverse array of animals and landscapes. We have over 3,000 photos from that week (3 people and we brought SIX cameras!). Needless to say it will take some time to go through them and choose the best, but here’s a quick selection:

Giant tortoise on Santa Cruz Island

White tipped reef sharks (with baby marine iguanas in the foreground) on Isabela Island

Surreal forms of lava rocks and lava cactus on Fernandina island.

Swarms of marine iguanas resting on the beach at Fernandina Island

Our awesome friends from our 5 day tour on the Archipell catamaran and…

the rest of our Archipell friends!

A beautiful sunset from the beach at Puerto Villamil, Isabela Island.
We’ve spent the past few days exploring Quito (Old Town, the markets, and lots and lots of food!)
This afternoon we head off to Mindo, Ecuador for a visit to the cloud forest to see diverse populations of birds and butterflies. After that we are off to the town of Otovalo for the big, weekly indigenous market (and to celebrate Day of the Dead)!
We’ll write more soon!
Can’t wait to see more pics! Tell Kev we taped Game 4 so he can se it!
Thanks, mom! I still can’t believe they won!
Wow Galapagos looks amazing!! Are you guys going to zip line in the cloud forest?
No, we’re both afraid of heights 🙂 but I spent a day hiking local trails and Kevin and his dad hired a guide to take them bird-watching. They got some great photos! Did you go to Mindo when you were here?
