Who else is excited for tomorrow’s SF #SweetsCrawl? I certainly am! Most of all I’m eager to share my excitement for locally-produced (and sweet!) foods with all of you in person.
More than 20 people have RSVP’ed for this decadent tour, with another dozen or so that I (unfortunately) had to turn away. Rest assured that on Monday, I’ll start planning SweetsCrawl #2.
But before I get ahead of myself, I wanted to quickly share an overview of tomorrow’s event. I’ve chosen six shops that serve some of San Francisco’s best sweets in two different neighborhoods, walking distance apart. Stops one through three are in the Mission District, and stops four through six are in Hayes Valley.
Here is the itinerary:
START (1PM): Meet at the 16th Street BART Station Plaza (16th/Mission St) [ map ]. I’ll be in the corner of the plaza by the Wells Fargo.
1. La Oaxaqueña (2128 Mission Street)
2. Dandelion Chocolate (740 Valencia Street)
3. Bi-Rite Creamery (3692 18th Street)
WALK: To 449 Octavia Street (1.1 mile / 24 minutes)
4. Miette (449 Octavia Street)
5. Smitten Ice Cream (432 Octavia Street)
6. Chantal Guillon Macarons (437A Hayes Street)
END (~5PM)
OPTIONAL: Afterward, have a beer with us at Biergarden! (24 Octavia Street)

Just eat something sweet and post a photo to Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook (make sure you share it publicly–not just with friends). Use the hashtag #SweetsCrawl, so we can see what you’ve tried! I’ll RT and share anything you post.
I’ll be sharing everything that we try using that hashtag #SweetsCrawl, so be sure to follow along!
See you tomorrow!

Will do. I recall you know a thing or two about taffy. You should share your memories in a post. Will you, Lleri?
