It was great to be back on the East Coast a few weeks ago. Pennsylvania is at its nicest when the weather is cool and crisp (and when drinking the ever-abundant pumpkin spice cappuccino)!
Alternatively, the border between summer and fall in Northern California is strange. September is one of the warmest months of the year, and that beautiful weather usually continues into October. But this week has been cold and rainy, marking the end of NorCal’s summer.
How did I go another year without going to the beach? There was that quick walk in Santa Cruz, but otherwise it didn’t happen.
I think I took this picture in the Marin Headlands at about this time last year, on a cool but sunny afternoon. Some desperate beach-goers not willing to admit summer is over were baring their skin. Others (like me) were bundled up. I remember lamenting that we missed beach season again and swore I wouldn’t do it this year.
Oh well… next year!
Foto Friday is a series where I go back through my archives to share photos that I love either because I think they are beautiful or they have an interesting story. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
